A beauty brand on Amazon is doing $233K a month off five influencer videos. There is no huge ad budget behind it. Creators drive the sales, and the brand pays only when an order comes in.
The tool behind it is Amazon Creator Connections. Creators have already figured it out. Most brands still have not run a single campaign. That gap is the opportunity, and it will not stay open for long.
This guide covers what Creator Connections is, who is eligible, what it costs, how to set it up, how to price your commission, and why the timing favors brands that move now.
Amazon Creator Connections is Amazon's marketplace service that connects brands with Amazon Creators. Brands offer bonus commissions, and creators earn them on qualifying sales their content drives (Amazon Ads).
Amazon calls each campaign an Affiliate+ campaign. You pick eligible products from your catalog, set a commission rate, choose a start and end date, and set a maximum budget.
Create an Affiliate+ campaign. Set the budget, commission rate, and dates.
Creators opt in. Amazon Creators join your campaign and make content featuring your products.
You pay on sales. You compensate creators only for the qualifying sales their content drives.
Track performance. Monitor results and return on ad spend (ROAS) in the Creator Connections reporting portal.
It is performance only. You do not pay for impressions or clicks. If you already run TikTok Shop affiliates, this will feel familiar.
| Creator type | What they bring |
|---|---|
| Publishers | Broad reach across multiple channels and targeted audiences |
| Influencers | Micro and celebrity creators sharing curated recommendations on social media |
| Deal sites and bloggers | Coverage of launches and sales that drives targeted, high-converting traffic |
The difference is who pays and how much. Standard Associates and Influencer Program commissions are what Amazon pays, about 2% to 4% in most categories. With Creator Connections, the brand adds a bonus commission on top.
| Creator Connections | Amazon Influencer Program / Associates | |
|---|---|---|
| Who starts it | The brand posts a campaign | The creator builds a storefront or link |
| Brand control | Products, dates, budget, brief | None |
| Commission | Brand-funded bonus, 10% minimum, often 20% to 30%+ | Amazon's category rate, about 2% to 4% |
| Minimum brand spend | $5,000 budget | None |
| Brand-side reporting | Campaign level | None |

That bonus changes creator behavior. Creators earn several times more for the same audience, so they are far more motivated to make winning videos, write posts, and send traffic to your listing. And because Amazon converts so well, that traffic turns into sales efficiently.
Brands need Brand Registry and a US-advertising Amazon Ads account. Creators need to be in Amazon's Influencer and Associates programs at Bronze tier or higher.
Advertise in the United States through an Amazon Ads account based in the US, China, or Hong Kong
Be registered in Brand Registry as the brand representative or an authorized reseller
Accept the Creator Connections Terms & Conditions
Be a publisher, influencer, or blogger with a qualifying online presence
Participate in the Amazon Influencer and Associates Program
Reach Bronze tier or higher in Creator Stars, Amazon's tiered program based on creator sales and engagement

There are no base or daily fees. You pay a commission only when a creator drives a qualifying order of your SKU.
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Platform, base, or daily fees | None |
| Minimum campaign budget | $5,000 (a ceiling on commissions, not a prepayment) |
| Minimum bonus commission | 10% of net product price |
| Commission calculated on | Net price the customer paid, after coupons and discounts |
| Campaign length | 30 to 365 days |
| Products per campaign | Up to 1,200 ASINs |
| Billing | On your Amazon Ads invoice under the campaign title, with "Sponsored Ads" as a separate line item, every 30 days |
| Edit window | 24 hours after creation to change commission, budget, or ASINs |

Example: a $30 product at 10% pays the creator $3 per unit. That is on top of your referral fees, FBA fees, and any coupon. A campaign ends when the budget runs out or the end date arrives, whichever comes first.
A sale counts toward your campaign when a customer buys within 24 hours of clicking a creator's link. The window closes when they purchase or click a different creator's link.
Direct sale: the customer buys the linked product, or a size or color variation that is in the campaign.
Indirect sale: the customer clicks a creator's link, browses, and buys a different product from your brand that is also in the campaign. The creator still earns.
If another seller wins the featured offer and the customer buys that seller's SKU, the order is not attributed and you pay nothing.
Sellers launch campaigns from Seller Central, and vendors launch from the Amazon Ads console.
Sellers: log in to Seller Central and go to Creator Connections under Advertising.
Vendors: log in to the Ads console with your Brand Store account and open Creator Connections under Brand Content.
Missing it? An admin can grant access in Seller Central under Settings > User Permissions > [user] > Creator Connections. New advertisers who meet every requirement may need 7 to 10 business days for access (Amazon Ads).
Click Create Request.
Enter the campaign name, goals, and products.
Add creator requirements and compensation, including commission and any samples.
Set the timeline and write an introduction message for creators.
Send the request and watch participation on the dashboard.
Review everything within 24 hours. After that, commission, budget, and ASINs lock for creators who opt in.
Steps adapted from My Amazon Guy.
Fix the listing first. Creator traffic only pays off if the detail page converts, so tighten your images, A+ Content, and top three bullets. Make sure inventory can handle a spike.
Set a rate that competes in your category, then anchor it to your ad costs or your customer lifetime value.
Do not go far below what other brands in your category offer. A publisher or creator account is easy to get. Create one so you can see which campaigns competitors run and what they pay.
Match your TACoS. Look at your total advertising cost of sale on Amazon and offer creators the same. If you spend 15% on ads, offer 15% commission. It is a one-for-one swap for traffic.
Go higher for lifetime value. In consumable categories where you are chasing Subscribe & Save, giving up more margin can pay off. You are acquiring new customers, and a richer rate attracts more posts and more external traffic.
Campaigns can run as short as 30 days, but we recommend at least 90. Creators need time to make and post content, and their videos keep sending traffic after they go live.
Model the full cost per SKU before you commit: net price minus product cost, referral and FBA fees, coupons, commission, and returns. Our guides on how affiliate commissions impact your real margins and structuring commission tiers walk through the math.
Creators caught up to brands on Creator Connections in under a year. Brands are still catching up.
Creator Connections launched with about 90,000 active campaigns. Within roughly five months, that had tripled, then quadrupled, into the hundreds of thousands.
| Date | Creator slots in the average campaign |
|---|---|
| November 2025 | About 86% empty |
| September 2026 | About 93% filled |
Creators now compete to get into the best programs.
On Prime Day 2025:
Creators and affiliates drove close to 1 in every 5 dollars of sales, about 21%
Influencers alone drove about 12% of all orders, up 4x from the year before
Brands running Creator Connections during Prime Big Deal Days saw a 244% jump in affiliate-driven revenue year over year
Nearly 70% of brands reported moderate to high ROI in a seller survey
Amazon also rewards brands that bring in external traffic, so this channel will matter more over time. (See how TikTok Shop impacts your Amazon ranking.)
Most sellers run Sponsored Products, sometimes DSP, and a few one-off influencer deals. Creator Connections sits untouched in Seller Central, or gets a campaign every few months when someone remembers. Meanwhile, creators are actively searching for products and campaigns to join.
That mismatch is how a brand ends up doing $233K a month from five videos. As more brands show up, the window will close. Right now, you can win just by being early and running campaigns aggressively.
TikTok Shop and Amazon are not competing channels. TikTok creates demand, and Amazon captures it.
Someone sees a creator video on TikTok and gets curious, but does not buy. Two days later, they search the brand name on Amazon and purchase there. The TikTok affiliate gets no credit. Amazon does.
Many creators make a video for TikTok Shop, repurpose it as an Instagram Reel, and send that traffic to Amazon through Creator Connections. One piece of content works across several channels, and the creator earns wherever the sale happens. It also protects their income if a TikTok account gets a violation.
| Channel | Typical conversion rate | Shopper mindset |
|---|---|---|
| TikTok Shop | About 2% to 6% (around 2% to 3% for most DTC brands), higher on LIVE with strong bundles and CTAs | Discovery: cold traffic, impulse buyers |
| Amazon (strong listing) | About 10% to 20% | Buying mode: high-intent searchers |
Amazon shoppers are already searching, often on non-branded keywords. They scan results, add to cart, and buy. TikTok converts the impulse buyer, and Amazon captures the high-intent searcher.
Recruit creators into both programs. The same creators can drive revenue wherever your customers prefer to shop.
Creator Connections is powerful, but it has blind spots you should plan around.
Reporting is aggregate only. You see sales, orders, and clicks at the campaign level, not which creator or video drove an order. Creator Connections orders also do not appear in the order management center (Amazon Ads).
You cannot hand-pick creators. Creators opt in, and messaging opens only after they accept.
Participation is not guaranteed, even with a funded campaign and a strong brief.
The $5,000 minimum rules out testing a single low-margin SKU.
Launching before the listing converts. Fix images, A+ Content, and bullets first.
Ignoring margin. Commission stacks on top of Amazon fees. Model every SKU.
Forgetting organic overlap. Creators can earn on sales you would have made anyway.
Running PPC on the same ASIN without a combined cost view. Look at total cost per order across both.
Letting the budget run dry. Plan a follow-up campaign so creators do not lose their bonus mid-stream.
Skipping usage rights. Rights to reuse creator content are not automatic. Agree on them before content goes live.

Creator Connections is a performance-only affiliate channel sitting in Seller Central that most brands have not touched. The creator side is moving faster than the brand side, which leaves a real window to build your creator network now and compound sales from content that costs nothing unless it converts.
